Trip Page Redesign

Operations > Trip

The Trip page has a new look, built for how your team works every day. It is one of the most-used pages in Avianis, and this is its first full refresh since the product launched.

The trip information and the actions you already use are still here. The layout may feel a little different at first, and a feedback survey is on the way so you can tell us what is working.

  • A cleaner, modern layout that lines up with the updated Portside branding and is easier to scan
  • A more logical arrangement, with less empty space in some areas, less crowding in others, and room to grow
  • Smoother ways to manage the trip header, itinerary, crew, passengers, services, international details, and expenses
  • Built for phones and tablets, rather than only squeezed down to fit a smaller screen
  • A faster, more responsive page
  • Read-only access so parts of the trip can be viewed without edit actions. The new options are in Access Role Updates below

Access Role Updates for the Trip Page

Settings > Access Roles

You can now control trip and operations access area by area. Existing roles keep the access they already had. Read Only is a new option on the trip, its tabs, and flight logs.

  • Ops Board — Full or None, including the fleet map
  • Trip Search — Full or None. This covers the search page. Opening a trip is controlled separately
  • Trip — Full, Read Only, or None. Full can open the trip and edit header details such as the aircraft and account. Read Only can open the trip and view the header. None can still use Trip Search, and opening a trip is blocked
  • Trip Overview — Full or Read Only. Full can edit the itinerary, FBOs, and the other overview fields. Read Only can view the tab. Anyone who can open the trip can see Overview
  • Crew — Full, Read Only, or None. None hides the Crew tab
  • Passengers — Full, Read Only, or None. None hides the Passengers tab
  • Services — Full, Read Only, or None. None hides the Services tab
  • International Services — Full, Read Only, or None. This covers permits, regulatory, and security on the trip
  • Trip Expenses — Full, Read Only, or None. None hides the Expenses tab
  • Flight Leg Search — Full or None
  • Flight Logs — Full, Read Only, or None. A crew member assigned to the flight can still open that flight log
  • Other Operational Pages — Full or None. This covers company-enabled pages such as Staffing Marketplace and FuelerLinx

Airport Database Updates

Airport information now comes from the Universal Database. It previously came from ACUKWIK.

  • Airport remarks and restriction alerts may look different from what you are used to seeing
  • The same airport settings still apply
  • Airport Finder filters have been updated to cover more use cases, with more updates to come

Other Updates

Wyvern

Crew > Crew Integrations > Wyvern

Wyvern sync work continues, so pilot times stay aligned with Avianis.

  • If your sync was on the default 01:00 UTC schedule, it now runs at 09:00 UTC
  • A custom sync time you already set stays as you configured it

Crew Assignment Order

Scheduling > Schedule Board

When you add crew, the list is grouped so the people closest to the aircraft are easier to find.

  • Directly Assigned appears first, then Type Rated
  • A group appears only when it has crew to show
  • Names in each group are alphabetical by last name

Operated By on the Schedule Board

Scheduling > Schedule Board

Flight leg cards can now show who is operating the flight, using the same Operated By value already on the trip.

  • Add Operated By from Select Field to Add on a flight leg template, on the schedule board or in Schedule Board Default Templates
  • Once it is on the template, the card shows that flight's operator
  • Cards stay as they are until you add the field

Fixes

  • Rest and Duty times on the trip now match the calculated values
  • Day and Night time now credits a PIC who is pilot not flying, along with that pilot's flight time
  • Schedule Board event details now stay open while the pointer remains on the event
  • A flight log now saves when the Day and Night hours equal the flight time
  • The aircraft list on a personnel event now shows managed aircraft before vendor aircraft
  • A new quote now uses the account's default contract, and Account Contracts appears only when a matching rate exists for the aircraft or fleet being quoted
  • The mobile app now loads flight, airport, and related operational data reliably
  • Night, IFR, and IFR PIC time on a logbook entry now counts in Flight Summary, and is included in Wyvern, even when that entry has no PIC or SIC time
