The logbook tab within the personnel record can be used for the following:
Creating aircraft specific log book entries (previous/current time flown or contract work) regarding flight time and/or flight events (take-off, landings, etc.) Note: for the ARGUS and Wyvern interface, be sure to create a minimum of one aircraft type log book entry (type should match the type rating in Avianis and ARGUS/Wyvern). This allows an operation to send the aircraft time in type.
Recording aircraft specific simulator time and associating it with a training item
Note: Avianis has two logbook versions, the below highlights the steps for each version. If you are unsure what version your account has, please reach out to our product support team to confirm (opsupport@avianis.com).
To create a V1 log book entry follow these steps:
Access a personnel profile and click on the Log Book tab
Click "Create"
Select an aircraft type, date, and any other relevant information and click "Save"
Once the record is saved, a section will show below where you can document any additional event details (Takeoffs, Landings, Precision/Non-Precision Approaches, etc.)
The logbook entries are associated with the crew times section in the personnel's profile. When a logbook entry is saved, the current times will adjust accordingly.
To create a V2 log book entry follow these steps:
Access a personnel profile and click on the Log Book tab
Click "Create"
Select an aircraft type, logbook type, date, and any other relevant information and click "Save"
Select if this logbook entry should be excluded in regulatory checks (this will default to NO)
Events like takeoffs, landings, approaches, etc can be documented in the Events section at the bottom of the logbook.
Note: if you wish to log generic single-engine, multi-engine, or turbine time, type generic in the Aircraft Model drop down add select a model.
The logbook entries are associated with the crew times section in the personnel's profile. When a logbook entry is saved, the times will adjust accordingly.
Note: regardless of logbook version, we recommend all baseline logbook entries be dated prior to flight logs being saved.
