The new Avianis mobile app experience has soft launched to select customers participating in the early access program in the iOS/Apple and Android/Google Play app stores! Thank you for being an early adopter and guiding the growth of our new application.

About the App Strategy and Expectations
Why is Avianis doing a soft launch of the new mobile app?
This allows the Avianis team to do several things:
- Get the new app experience in the hands of users sooner.
- Focus feedback from users willing to work with us to identify any opportunities or issues earlier.
- Use the app with real data and real-world scenarios sooner, improving quality faster.
Why isn't the new Avianis app available to everyone?
The soft launched version of the app (pre-v1.0.0) will have some degree of incomplete workflows from the existing, older app and is not fit for service for larger or more mature companies using Avianis. It is also an environment that will be going through rapid changes and updates, which is not suitable for users that require more stability/familiarity to perform their work. Once we get to v1.0.0, the new app will be available to everyone and all will be encouraged to use the new app.
Why is it called 'Avianis NEW'?
This name is temporary. Once the older app is discontinued this new app will simply be called 'Avianis'.
Can I work from the 'Avianis NEW' app?
Yes! If the page/feature is available in the new app it will work for production exactly the same as it would from web or the older mobile app. However, please confirm with your company administrator that it is acceptable within your company policy to do so.
Can I still use the old Avianis app?
Yes! Both the new and the old app will continue to work at the same time - in parallel - until the old app has been discontinued. Feel free to have both the old and the new app installed on the same device and use both/either as needed.
Is the 'Avianis NEW' app going to do everything that the old app does?
Yes - and more! As we are in the pre-v1.0.0 phase, there may be some pages or features missing from the new app that are available in the old app. Once we reach v1.0.0 there will be, at minimum, a feature parity with the old app. But we already have many features and feedback that will be completely innovative in the new app after that!
Will the new app work on my device?
The 'Avianis NEW' app is optimized for:
- Apple iPhones
- Apple iPads
- Android phones
It will also work for most Android tablets and a MacBook computer, though it has not been as thoroughly tested on those types of devices and there may be some unoptimized display elements.
What does the soft launch app actually do/support?
This is continually growing! The best way to keep up is to enable automatic updates on your device and check back here and on the Avianis NEW Mobile Roadmap page for what's next. For v0.3.0, we started with the following:
- Login, both native and SSO
- Ability to switch between companies, if authorized to multiple with the same login
- Passcode or device biometrics only required if the app has been active within the past 15 days
- Calendar view of: Flights, Personnel Events, Crew Assignments, Medical Dues, Training Dues
- Schedule view (cards with more information) for: Flights, Personnel Events, Crew Assignments, Medical Dues, Training Dues
- Create a new Personnel Event, all Types
- Flight information including: Aircraft info, Notes, Passengers, and Files
- Flight logging
- Offline support, including a new 'Unsent' page to queue logs or events saved when offline
- Device push notifications
- Flight Acknowledgement
- Portrait AND Landscape mode on all pages
- Light AND Dark mode on all pages, based on device settings
About Pre-Launch Testing and Feedback
Why am I getting an "Access Denied" message when trying to login?
Your company has not yet enrolled in the early access program for the soft launch. Please contact your company administrator to enroll; Avianis support must hear directly from your company administrator to get approval.
Why doesn't the Avianis NEW app have [insert page or feature] yet?
The soft launch app has intentionally been put into service before reaching full feature parity with the old app. From April through July we will be iteratively delivering them until we get to v1.0.0 - and then we'll go beyond! Please check the Avianis NEW Mobile Roadmap page for what's next.
What features/pages are getting added next to the Avianis NEW app?
We've made our progress completely transparent on the Avianis NEW Mobile Roadmap page. We'll be generally working from the top down and the green progress bar indicates how much work has been completed and what's left.
I don't see a feature or change I need on the Avianis NEW Mobile Roadmap page. How do I get it on there?

Please understand our priority from now until v1.0.0 will be to meet a feature parity with the old app; but if there is a suggestion unique to the new app we can do sooner, we will!
