Web 24.7 Application Update (August 2024)

The following updates are a part of the 24.7 web release in August 2024. 

New Features

Aircraft Events

Introducing a new item on the Schedule Board - Aircraft Events! Unlike Personnel Events, Aircraft Events do not require a person associated to save and are a dedicated way to take an aircraft offline and show as unavailable for reasons other than a maintenance event (Job Card). 


There are 3 Aircraft Event Types:
  1. General
    1. Custom color on Schedule Board
    2. Feasibility information/blue alert (Trips and Quotes)
  2. Unavailable for Charter 
    1. Custom color on Schedule Board
    2. Feasibility warning/yellow, conditional only if a charter RegSet applied (Trips and Quotes)
    3. Changes the aircraft Schedule Board header column color yellow for current status
  3. Offline 
    1. Custom color on Schedule Board
    2. Feasibility critical/red alert (Trips and Quotes)
    3. Changes the aircraft Schedule Board header column color red for current status
    4. Trip and Quote page red alert banner for current status
Other aspects of Aircraft Events include:
  1. Aircraft Events may be created for / attached to Managed Aircraft, Fleets, or Vendor Aircraft.
  2. Create Aircraft Events by the "+" button or the right-click context menu on the Schedule Board. (Aircraft Events are not available on the legacy calendar / "Scheduling".)
  3. Create custom Aircraft Event Categories that apply to one or more Types (a similar structure to Personnel Events) that may optionally have their own custom colors on the Schedule Board.
  4. User Roles that may create or edit Aircraft Events: 
    1. Account Admin
    2. Operations Manager
    3. Fleet Administrator
    4. Finance Manager
    5. Sales Manager
    6. Scheduling Manager
    7. Sales & Scheduling Agent 
    8. Chief Pilot
  5. Create and edit custom template information to display on an Aircraft Event from the Schedule Board (similarly to Personnel Events). 
  6. Setting to hide Aircraft Events on the Schedule Board from the filters on each section.
  7. Aircraft Events are supported in iCal links.  
Aircraft Events will be supported in the Connect API and sent to Avinode in following releases.

Schedule Board header column will change color based on the aircraft status for Aircraft Events (red for offline, orange for unavailable for charter).

Trip Services Tab Changes

There are some exciting design updates to the Trip Services tab for increased accessibility and preparation for additional new features in future releases. 

  1. Service Statuses are now color coded.
  2. 'Pax/Crew' OR 'Crew Only' button in a new dedicated column with a clearly stated label.
  3. Services create/edit form now launches in a modal. 
  4. Expenses form for a service can now be accessed by a button directly from the Services tab.
  5. FlightBridge and FuelerLinx have moved from a tab to under the 'Add New' button. 
  6. Converting an existing service to a FlightBridge order is now done by selecting from the new 'Sourced By' column drop down. 


Feasibility List Changes

We've essentially relaunched the Operations > Feasibility List page with lots of new functionality to make this space a one-stop location to manage alerts across multiple flights. 

  1. Added new columns:
    1. Area - Previously this information was in parentheses within 'Item', now with its own column it is filterable and aligns with what is seen on the Trip feasibility view. 
    2. Alert - This is the full/complete message for the feasibility as would be seen on the Trip.
    3. Leg - Displays the leg number on the Trip. 
    4. Reg Set - Displays the applied Reg Set for the flight.
  2. Turn columns on/off 
  3. Drag and drop to rearrange columns
  4. Drag edge of column to resize 
  5. Filter each column by clicking the filter icon in the header row 
    1. Some columns will offer a checkbox filter option of all available values 
    2. If a column is filtered, it will highlight blue
    3. Quickly clear all filters with the 'Clear Filters' button 
    4. Filters will be maintained if you leave and return to the page 
  6. Several more quick select options for date ranges, and now a customer date range picker 
  7. Ability to export to Excel

Other New Features

  1. Fleet Map will now display on ground movements as a red line and in-flight movements at white.
  2. Updated the color values/shades of the aircraft statuses, reflected in the header column of the Schedule Board. 
  3. Added the flight map button on the Quote page. 
  4. Added logging screen to more integration setting pages:
    1. Avinode
    2. ForeFlight
    3. FightSafety
    4. Pulsar
    5. Wyvern
  5. Portside Staffing Marketplace integration.

Updates 

Integrations

  1. ARG/US now syncs correctly both scheduled and manually .
  2. Avinode will not create duplicate Accounts or Contacts.
  3. CAMP discrepancies will always successfully update. 
  4. FlightBridge
    1. Crew assigned to a Trip via API will display correctly.
    2. When a service is cancelled in FlightBridge that will reflect in the Avianis service status.
  5. FlightRadar24/flight following will populate all OOOI times received on the flight log. Note: We are investigating with FR24 why sometimes we are still missing some Out reports in the data feed. 
  6. ForeFlight will no longer show/create any Activity Feed entries on a Trip when disabled in the admin settings. 
  7. Pulsar Fatigue Meter
    1. Fixed issue when uploading a user's schedule.
    2. The list of active users will pull correctly. 
    3. Deleted Duty Times will be removed from the Pulsar schedule.
  8. TSA submissions will be less likely to error when adding lots of passenger consecutively. Note: It is still recommended to add lots of passengers in larger batches for optimal performance. 
  9. Wyvern auto-sync is now functional. 

Operations

  1. The Trip page header will now always accurately display the tail numbers assigned to flights included on that Trip. 
  2. 'Flight Time' and 'Block Time' columns on the Trip Search page will exclude any times from flights that are in the Cancelled status. 
  3. Improved the Ops Dashboard performance that was causing some organizations to see timeouts.
  4. Corrected Trip page Activity Feed passenger Travel Document changes. 
  5. Flight leg regulatory changes will not commit until saved. 
  6. Rotary flight logs will consider aircraft-level settings for taxi time over organizational settings. 
  7. Fleet Map will no longer need to load flights consecutively when first visiting the page. 

Quotes

  1. Continued to improve upon Quote create speed.
  2. Disabled Country Line Item automation pointed to inaccurate counties. 
  3. Quote setting to default 'Hide Position Legs' now works as expected.
  4. Contracts on the Quote Create screen will not reset to default when an Account is added. 

Other Updates

  1. Type Ratings correctly display on the column of the Personnel Search page. 
  2. Certificate > License validations will save successfully on Restricted Personnel profiles.  
  3. Personnel drop down searches will now work with any combination of the first, middle, or last name.
  4. Leads marked as Inactive will no longer display in relevant drop downs. 
  5. Restrictions will now save successfully on Discrepancies in any configuration. 
  6. Maintenance Vendors will save successfully on all Job Cards. 
  7. Fixed the broken images in email signatures.
  8. Updated the Connect API .NET framework.
