Overview

Aircrew Academy specializes in providing online training solutions for the aviation industry. Their offerings include a range of eLearning courses tailored to the needs of pilots, cabin crew, maintenance personnel, and other aviation professionals.

These courses cover various aspects of aviation safety, security, service, and regulatory compliance, aiming to enhance the knowledge and skills of aviation personnel.

Integration Features

The Integration offers both manual and real-time synchronization features. The manual process involves an initial one-time data load, retrieving Aircrew Academy modules to build Avianis training items and mapping Aircrew Academy users to Avianis personnel. The real-time sync feature ensures continuous updates from Aircrew Academy, including new, updated, or deleted modules and users' training status updates.
  1. Manual (initial once off data load)
    1. Retrieving Aircrew Academy Modules to build Avianis training items
    2. Retrieves Aircrew Academy Users to map to Avianis Personnel. 
  2. Realtime Sync (from Aircrew Academy)
    1. New/Updated or Deleted Modules
    2. Users Training status updates


Configuration

Authenticate and configure the Aircrew Academy integration to share training information and automatically satisfy Training items within Avianis.

Aircrew Academy Application
  1. Login to Aircrew Academy as a user which has a Registrar role.

  2. Navigate to Utilities > API Management

  3. Access your API Access ID

Avianis

The following steps will guide you through the process of setting up Aircrew Academy in Avianis
  1. Go to My Company > Global Settings > Integrations > Aircrew Academy in the main navigation

  2. Register: Enter your API ID, and click Register

  3. Authorize: This step will redirect you to Aircrew Academy and ask you to Allow Aircrew Academy to communicate with Avianis.

This completes the Configuration Process, we have now setup the connection between Avianis and Aircrew Academy.



Setup

The following steps will guide you on how to retrieve data from Aircrew Academy and set up programs and training items for users.
  1. Load Modules: This step retrieves all modules from Aircrew Academy, enabling you to add them as training items within a program in Avianis.

  2. User Mappings: In the Personnel tab, you can link all Aircrew Academy users to Avianis.
    This connection enables Avianis to recognize and manage the users' training items once they are sent back from Aircrew Academy.


  3. Build Programs: Create a new program for your Aircrew Academy training items

    1. Navigate to Crew Records > Programs 

    2. Click Create New and populate the fields for your Program

  4. Training items: Once you have created your Program, select the newly created Program and you can then assign the training items.

    1. Click on Add New to add an Aircrew Academy training item.

    2. Training Type: Select Aircrew Academy

    3. Training Item: select the Aircrew Academy Module from the Training item dropdown list. 



    4. Populate any additional fields and save the training item. A new training item will be in the Training items list.


  5. Assign Personnel to Program:
    1. Click on the Personnel tab



    2. Search for a User in the Select Personnel drop down, selecting the User will add them to the Program

This concludes the setup of Programs, Training items and the association of Personnel to training items.
