Navigation Change: Operations

Avianis is incrementally updating the entire navigational structure by section in preparation for the new user permissions model.

  1. 'Operations' has moved slightly up, directly under 'Customers'
  2. Legacy Trip Search and Legacy Flight Leg Search have been permanently depreciated/removed
  3. Previously 'Dashboard' is now titled 'Ops Board', no change in functionality 
  4. All highly trafficked pages have their own tab, without needing an additional click for a subtab (e.g. to move between Trip Search and Flight Leg Search)
  5. Previously 'Case Management' has moved from the main navigation to under the 'Operations' area
  6. FuelerLinx has moved from the main navigation to under the 'Operations' area

User role access to each of these of this pages has not changed as a result of this update.

Operations Settings Reorganization

In addition to the Operations navigation changes, there's been a significant reorganization of the Operations Settings to make the pages easier to navigate and easier to understand.
  1. Previously 'Configuration' is now 'Ops Configuration'
  2. Several fields have moved from the 'Ops Configuration' page to the new 'FT / BT / Logs' settings page, this includes:
    1. Domestic Pre/Post Duty
    2. International Pre/Post Duty
    3. Default Taxi Time
    4. Estimated/Actual Flight Time Rounding
    5. Enabling L/Z on Logs
    6. Calculate Estimated Day/Night Hrs
    7. Calculate Day/Night Hrs based on Flight or Block
    8. Enable SIC logging PIC time
    9. Hide Reimbursable Expenses on Trip and Flight Log
  3. Avianis Predictor settings have moved from its own tab to the new 'FT / BT / Logs' settings page
  4. Pages previously nested under Classifications are now on the main Operations Settings tab selection 
  5. Classification page titles have been edited for clarity (Note: no functionality has changed), this includes:
    1. Previously 'Delay Types' is now 'Delay Reasons'
    2. Previously 'Instructions' is now 'Trip Instructions'
    3. Previously 'Status Reasons' is now 'Cancellation Reasons'

Adjusted names/locations of Classifications


Credit Card Management Moved

Previously Company Credit Card management page was under My Company > Profile. Now it has moved to Finance > Finance Settings > Credit Cards to be in an appropriate location for the upcoming new user permissions model.

Trip Services Description Display

Following last weeks ability to expand the Description field on both the manual create modal and the Service Template, the visibility of the Description information on the Services tab of the Trip has also been adjusted. The Service Description will now... 
  1. Maintain all text formatting, like line spacing and any HTML tags
  2. Show a maximum of 4 lines of text by default, standardizing the Service entry height
  3. Expand vertically by dragging the lower right corner of the cell 
  4. By default be wider as we've made the Expense column narrower to accommodate

Connect API Updates

Several updates have been made to the Connect API, these include:
  1. Several new endpoints for v2 logbooks. All customers are being updated to the latest version of the Logbook and we now provide the same support in the API for the updated version as we do the legacy version logbook. 
    1. GET /connect/v2/Trip/{tripId}/Itinerary/{itineraryId}/Log
    2. PUT /connect/v2/Trip/{tripId}/Itinerary/{itineraryId}/Log
    3. PATCH /connect/v2/Trip/{tripId}/Itinerary/{itineraryId}/Log
  2. Ability to pass in Start Time and End Time in Local time for Personnel Events: POST /connect/v1/personnelEvent
  3. Added Status as an optional parameter for Training Items: GET /connect/v2/TrainingItems
