2024 November 06 - Web Updates
Avianis has adopted a new release process and the release note format has changed.
Avianis updates most every week on either Tuesday or Wednesday, with additional releases when warranted. Release notes will only be issued for notable updates and new features. Those who have reported bugs will be notified via email when they are fixed. To know when your account was last updated, the web version is shown at the bottom of the menu in YY.MM.DD.[build] format, e.g. "24.11.5.X"
Logbook Updates
For organizations using the Avianis Logbook Version 2 ("v2"), there are a few key updates to the Crew Times Table and how some time is allocated.
A majority of Avianis organizations are still using logbook version 1 ("v1"). An indicator for v2 is the ability to designate Pilot Flying ("PF") on a flight log. If you do not see this option, then you are still in v1 and these changes will not affect you. If you are still unsure if your organization is using logbook version 1 or version 2, you can
check with your account manager.
Schedule Board Updates
- "Create Trip/Quote" is now an option on the "+" button from the Schedule Board
- When a flight is TBD, all date/time template options will preface with "TBD:" until logged. (This will not apply to the Actual date/time options or after a flight has been logged.)

Quote Updates
- In an earlier release, we added a designation to airports which fall within the 225-Mile Zone (airports in Canada and Mexico within 225 miles of the US border). This release adds the ability to create Quote Master Line Items with the condition to apply to itineraries to/from 225-mile airports. This selection is available on the Itinerary condition in either the From or To field and may be stacked with other selections.
- Avianis has greatly improved the time it takes to run multiple SkyPlan flight time calculations at once. We are seeing roughly 3x faster performance! (See demo video below)

Airport Update
We've added a "
US Rural Airport" designation to our airport database. This information is visible on the Airport Search as a Y/N value. It is also possible to designate a Location as rural, but only for those where the Country Code is "USA".
