The Flight Risk Assessment Tool (FRAT) is there to help you assess and manage the risk profile of your flights.

Accessing and Navigating the FRAT Page

The FRAT page is accessible via the Flight Control page for your specific flight. A quick reference to the current FRAT status is also displayed directly on the Flight Control page.
Notes
The entire FRAT selection on the Flight Control page and its associated page is conditional. It may be hidden based on your organization's settings.
When you open the FRAT page, you'll see the assessment divided into distinct FRAT Categories. These categories, along with the individual items and their corresponding score values, are all defined and maintained by your organization's administrators.

Assessing Risk Items

To view the items within a category, simply tap on the category section to expand it.
  1. Review the items and use the toggles on the right-hand side to select any item that is applicable to your current flight.
  2. As you select items, their corresponding score value is immediately added to the flight's total FRAT score.
Even when categories are collapsed, you can track your progress. Each category section displays the total number of items within that section and the number of items you have currently selected.

Understanding the FRAT Score and Status

The risk level of your flight is continuously calculated and displayed in the header bar at the top of the FRAT page.
  1. The header starts as Green and displays Good. It remains this way as long as the total FRAT points are below your organization’s defined warning or critical thresholds.
  2. Once you pass the Warning Threshold, the header bar will turn Orange and display Dispatch Warning.
  3. If you pass the Critical Threshold, the header will turn Red and display Requires Approval.
Info
If the FRAT is saved as a Dispatch Warning or Critical threshold, it will also be returned as an alert message in the Flight Feasibility

Saving and Finalizing the FRAT

After you have completed your assessment, you can save the FRAT. Your ability to edit the saved assessment depends on the final risk level:
  1. Editable Statuses: If you save the FRAT while the header displays Good (green) or Dispatch Warning (orange), you can continue to return, edit the assessment, and resave it as often as needed.
  2. Locked Statuses: If the saved FRAT is in the Requires Approval (red) state—meaning the total score is above the Critical Threshold—the assessment will be locked, and you will no longer be able to edit it. Once the FRAT has been reviewed and approved by your administrators via the web experience, its status will change from Requires Approval to Approved. This approved status is indicated by a blue check mark. At this point, the FRAT remains locked and cannot be edited further.

Saving a FRAT Offline

If you save a FRAT while disconnected from Wi-Fi or cellular data, the app will automatically save your changes locally so you don't lose your work. The FRAT will then appear on your Unsent Page. This means the change has not yet synced to the cloud.

Important Notes on Unsent FRATs

  1. Visibility: Until the FRAT is successfully sent and synced, it will only be visible on your specific mobile device (on the Unsent Page).
  2. FRAT Status: Unsent FRATs status will not be considered in the display areas on the Flight Control page or the Flight Feasibility page until synced.
  3. Web/Other Devices: The change will not be visible on the web experience or any other mobile device until it is sent and processed.
