Web 24.5 Application Update (June 2024)

Web 24.5 Application Update (June 2024)

The following updates are a part of the 24.5 web release in June 2024.

New Features

Opportunity Enhancements

As a part of our Sales Enhancement initiative for Charter Sales users, we continue to deliver on improvements to Opportunities (previously 'Deals') in this and following releases. This release includes:
  1. Users may now create Opportunity Deals manually in the Avianis UI from the Deal Search page via the new ‘Create Opportunity’ button. This is separate from the ‘Create Deal’ button as it has additional values, like the full itinerary. Optionally, select a tail or a fleet that is being requested for faster quote and trip creation.
  2. When creating a new Deal from an existing Quote, it will now create an Opportunity with the itinerary and populate all appropriate fields automatically.
  3. Opportunities have a new status of ‘New’. Opportunities created from the API or the Avinode integration will start in 'New' status. This will allow for distinction between records that have not yet been reviewed and those that are currently being worked, which would be the 'Open' status.
    1. Opportunities created from a Quote or manually will start in 'Open' status as its assumed that they are begin created to being working. However, these can always be set back to 'New', if desired.
  4. Changed the date select control to a calendar picker for both the Departure Date and the Expected Close Date.

Avinode Enhancements

As a part of our Sales Enhancement initiative for Charter Sales users, we continue to deliver on improvements to our Avinode integration in this and following releases. This release includes the ability to send Avianis Quote information directly to Avinode. From the Opportunity that was created by Avinode, all related Quotes will now have a 'Send' button that will allow to include a message and a Quote report PDF, optionally. The itinerary as it appears on the Quote (minus any hidden legs) will send

Other New Features

  1. When a Personnel is set to Inactive status, all the iCal links that user created will be automatically deleted.
  2. Trip Summary totals (i.e. Distance, Flight/Block, Travel Time, Days, and Overnights) at the top of the Overview tab of the Trip page will no longer include values for Cancelled status flight legs.
  3. Operations > Settings (tab) > Trip Stages: New setting/option to not have the flight leg statuses auto-set / remain in whatever status they are in when the Trip Stage changes.
    1. Note: If previously the Auto-Set Leg Status = 'Active', the leg statuses would not change so this has been updated to reflect in the new configuration as Auto-Set Leg Status = No.

Updates

This release resolves 50+ reported application bugs.

Flight Following Updates

  1. Flights that were previously indicated as unmapped will now correctly associate to the Avianis flight record for that tracking event and will ensure all tracking activities work correctly: notification emails, fleet map tracking, flight status changes, Operations Dashboard movement, and OOOI time population.
  2. Departure email notifications, when the ETA is not yet available by our data provider FlightRadar24, will include an ETA value based on the Avianis scheduled arrival time relative to what the actual departure time was to the scheduled departure time. (E.g. if departure was 20min later than scheduled, the ETA will indicate 20min later than the scheduled arrival.)
  3. The progress bar on the Operations Dashboard will now appropriately update relative to the estimated flight time that has elapsed.

Sales Updates

  1. Optimized several functions that will result in faster Quote creation.
  2. Avinode RFQs from published Empty Legs will successfully create an Opportunity in Avianis.
  3. Opportunities created by Avinode with an airport that is not available in Avianis will display successfully with a comment on the unsupported airport.
  4. Master Line Items with Calculation Method = Per Segment may be saved with any one conditionally applied
  5. Contracts may be deleted from Accounts without issue.

Operations Updates

  1. Trips/Quotes may not be created without an Aircraft or Fleet selection.
  2. Trip Chalkboard will prevent editing multiple flight legs at the same time.
  3. Engines displayed on the right column of the Flight Log page will be in sequence order, ascending.
  4. If Actual Flight Time Rounding = No, then the total sum calculation assists on the Flight Log will also not round.
  5. When deleting a leg with many Services, the confirmation screen will have all Services visible.
  6. Catering items are now operable on Service Templates.
  7. For organizations using Logbook v2, a crew member with the ACM assignment can successfully log as Pilot Flying from web.
  8. Operations > Settings...
    1. > Service Templates: All are accessible by using the new Active/Inactive toggle.
    2. > Flight Leg Statuses/Trip Stages: User Role selection for Hard Stop overrides for Trip Stages and Leg Statuses are aligned to the selection on Personnel.

FlightBridge Integration Updates

  1. Resolved issue: FBO Notifications from FBO are not auto setting to Crew Only

  2. Resolved issue: When a leg change occurs in the FlightBridge FBO service, the system updates to reflect the new leg, generating new service requests for the new leg. However, the old service requests from the previous leg remain in the system.
  3. Resolved issue: FlightBridge link not displaying on Lodging Services.

Scheduling Updates

  1. Dashboard > My Schedule (tab)
    1. When accessing through a Firefox browser, the column widths will be appropriate to the information provided.

  2. Optimized process changing between different Saved Searches on the Schedule Board, which increased the load time significantly.

  4. Clarified in all areas of the application where 'events' are Personnel Events, largely on the Schedule Board.
  5. Users with the Sales & Scheduling or the Scheduling Manager user role will now see the quick access button to the flight log from the Trip Detail modal on the Schedule Board.
  6. Flights that depart and arrival at the exact same Local time (Westbound) will now display successfully on the Schedule Board when Show Event Length By = Fixed and viewing in Airport TZ.
  7. If the Schedule Board is being viewed in My TZ or Airport TZ, then the Transient information will correctly not display for when the aircraft is at home base when the last schedule event is off screen.
  8. Events on the Schedule Board will no longer be 'cut off' on the screen, intermittently.
  9. When a user has Custom Schedule Board viewing settings...
    1. If no Aircraft or Crew are added, they will only have access to their own schedule. (Essentially functioning the same as My Flights option.)
    2. Regardless of what Crew are added, their own schedule will always be viewable.
    3. Users may save and switch between Saved Search views.

Job Card Updates

  1. When opening a Job Card from the search page using the edit button, only one tab will open.

    2. Project Return to Service and Actual Return to Service no longer have to match. Projected Return to Service may be before or after the Actual Return to Service date/time.
    3. Requiring an Offline Type for an offline Job Card is now a setting under Maintenance > Configuration > Offline Types page that will default to 'No', not required.
