Log a Flight Leg (Pilot Perspective - Logbook V1)

Access the flight log to submit flight times. This guide will outlines:

  • how to access and save the flight log; and

  • the requirements and definitions of the fields

ACCESS THE FLIGHT LOG

There are two ways to access the flight log, through My Schedule and Scheduling. To access through My Schedule:

  1. Go to My Schedule

  2. Click on the Trip to access the flight log.

3. Input the applicable data and click Save

The log allows for partial data submission. For example, input the Out and Off times along with the Fuel Out after departure. As the data is entered, the T/O and Landing selections become available when applicable.

To access the flight log through the Schedule Board:

  1. Go to Schedule Board and access the trip

  2. Right click trip block and click on Log

Note: A pilot must be crewed on the trip to have access through the calendar.

FLIGHT LOG REQUIREMENTS AND DEFINITIONS

The requirements to complete a flight log are:

  • Out, Off, On and In Date and Time

  • T/O Number, Type and Crew member

  • Land Number, Type and Crew member

  • Appr, Type and Crew member

The following fields are in the flight log:

Hobbs Start: [If Enabled]

Out, Off, On, In: Input in Zulu unless enabled to input in Local

Hobbs End: [If Enabled]

T/O: Value, Day/Night, Crew Selection

Land: Value, Day/Night, Crew Selection

Appr: Value, Day/Night, Crew Selection

Eng 1: Value

Eng 2: Value

Fuel Added (Gal): Value in Gallons

Fuel Density: Value in KGS or LBS

Fuel In: Value in the metric defined by the operation

Fuel Burn: Calculation of Fuel Out minus Fuel In equals Fuel Burn in the correlating metric

Tech Consumption:

Fuel Drain:

Ending APU (HRS): Total value of APU hours

Ending APU (Cycles): Total value of APU cycles

Instrument: Instrument hours

Flight Level: Value

SAT: Static Air Temperature

IAS: Indicated Airspeed

Anti-Icing: Yes/No

Delay: Customize the list of delay reasons

Hold: Crew member selection that had holding

Diversion Airport: Selection of the Diversion Airport
