OVERVIEW

The Operations Module within Avianis has been re-organized for easy access to the essential areas to the core of the operation: Tracking, Trips, Services, and more. The module is now composed of the Ops Board, which includes functionality for clear visibility of the operation's current and upcoming flights. This module also includes the trip and flight leg search pages, a new inclusive list of all trip services for easy management, as well as all trip-related settings.


Ops Board: 

The Dashboard provides visibility of the operations flights based on the scheduled trip times. A Flight Tracking add-on is available for real-time flight tracking.

There are four search options: Trip, Flight Leg, Feasibility and Cases search. The trip tab lists the route of the trip per row while the flight leg search page displays each leg per row. Each page contains various column and filter options that each user can customize, share and save. CASES

Cases can be created through a trip or a flight log and are a way to document service issues and safety concerns.  This search page allows users to review this entries. More detail on Cases can be found in these articles: Case Management: Creating & Use Case Examples and Case Management Setup: Case and Resolution Types.  

REPORTS

The report tab includes all trip-related reports such as the Flight Activity Charts, Flight Data Analysis Reports and Operational Reports.

OPERATIONS INTEGRATIONS

This tab will expand to include various integrations specific to Operations.  For additional information on integrations see the Article Collection: Integrations

FUELERLINX

OPERATIONS SETTINGS

These tabs are the default settings for various areas related to Trips and Flight Operations.
  1. Ops Configuration: 
    1. Various settings related to operations on a global account level. Refer to this guide for details on all settings.
  2. Cancellation Reasons:  
    1. Trip Status reasons are required when designating a trip as inactive. This provides operations the ability to track the reasons for making trips inactive.
  3. Case Types: 
    1. Identify the specific Types of issues to choose when reporting a service, safety or other type of case. See Case Management Setup: Case and Resolution Types 
  4. Cost Center / Business Units:
    1. Cost centers/business units are an option for users to define and assign on a trip by trip basis to assist in the billing and allocation process.
  5. Delay Reasons: 
    1. Create custom delay types to be selected in the flight log. The delays can be tracked through various reports such as the Fleet Dashboard Report, Flight Leg Search Page and Flight Data Analysis Report. 
  6. eAPIS Accounts: 
    1. Setup Private/CommericalCBSA and/or CARICOM accounts. Refer to the type for specific setup steps and submission details. 
  7. Flight Leg Statuses
  8. FRAT (Flight Risk Analysis Tool): 
    1. Build a custom FRAT for the operation's SMS program. The following guide outlines the setup process, FRAT Setup.
  9. FT / BT / Logs: 

    1. Block Planning
      1. Pre/Post Duty Domestic and International: Configure the pre and post time the organization considers for duty. These values are considered in the estimated duty calculations pre trip.
      2. Taxi Time Variant: This value is added to the proposed flight time. This time is overridden per aircraft if there is a time entered in 'Taxi Time' on the Aircraft Profile (e.g. for helicopters).
    2. Rounding
      1. Estimated Flight Time Rounding/Actual Flight Time Rounding:   
        1. Set whether the account should round the estimated (quote and trip) flight times and actual flight times. Below is the rounding table (this cannot be altered):

      1. When rounding is set to Yes for Estimated and/or Actual, the Rounding Method needs to be set for 10th of an Hour or Up 5 Minutes. When 10th of an hour is selected, it rounds according to the table mentioned above. When up 5 minutes is selected, it rounds to the nearest 5 minutes.

    1. Flight Logs

      1. Enable Local/Zulu Toggle on Flight Logs: 
        1. With the default set to 'yes' the user has the ability to toggle between either option when logging actual flight times.
      2. Calculate Estimated Day/Night Hours in Flight Log: 
        1. Designate whether estimated day/night hour calculations are occurring in the flight log.
      3. Calculate Estimated Day/Night Hours Based on Flight or Block: 
        1. Designate whether estimated day/night hour calculations are occurring in the flight log and if they are based on flight or block time. 
          The values are an estimate only and the crew member should review and manually adjust if necessary.
    1. Enable SIC logging PIC time: 
      1. When set to 'yes', if a crew member flies as a SIC on an aircraft but is PIC qualified, the SIC accumulates PIC hours for the legs flown.
      2. If it is set to no, the SIC continues to log the hours as SIC.
      3. The crew member must have a type rating created in their personnel profile with a PIC position.
    2. Hide Reimbursable Expenses on Trip and Flight Log
      1. When set to 'yes', the expenses designated reimbursable in a trip is hidden when the user opens the expense tab. They have the option to show them temporarily. If set to 'No," all expenses including reimbursable items display by default, and the option to show/hide is available for quick review.
  1. Service Templates: 
    1. Service Templates and Service Automation are a crucial part of the smooth flow for any operation. 
  1. Trip Instructions:
    1. Create standard instructions used often. Special Instructions can be added in a trip to instruct the crew and/or passengers. When marked crew only the instruction will display on the trip sheet only. If not marked the instruction will display on the client itinerary.
  2. Trip Stages:
    1. The stages component of the Global Settings is where the operation can customize trip stages, classify their order, assign a color for display on the calendar views and add warnings and/or hard stops to assist in the trip building process.   3. Trip Types:
    1. Trip types can be created so the type of trip can be selected on the creation of the trip or within the trip record. For example, charter, maintenance, owner, training, etc.
